![]() Eclipse, Dream Makers ink licensing dealīedding maker and licensing group Eclipse International has signed a deal for Dream Makers Sleep Products to be the Eclipse International licensee for Florida.ĭream Makers Sleep Products, based in Miami, will do business as Eclipse of Florida. The balance of the Kaymed beds needed in the United States have been imported from Ireland.Įarlier this year, Kaymed inked a deal with Badcock & More, a 312–store retail chain, to provide specialty bedding to all stores, and Kaymed’s High Point plant will allow it to better service the retailer, said Brad Sitton, Kaymed vice president. By the end of the year, Kaymed expects to produce up to 400 Kaymed beds a week at the plant. Supreme Sleep had been making Kaymed beds since spring 2007 for the U.S. The leased 40,000–square–foot building in High Point houses a 3,500–square–foot showroom, a warehouse for components, materials and completed mattresses and room for at least one assembly line. The entire Kaymed operation, which includes the Kayfoam Woolfson foam supply division, was purchased earlier this year by FL Partners, a Dublin, Ireland–based investment firm. ![]() ![]() Kaymed has acquired the assets of Supreme Sleep and will continue to produce a private–label bedding line using Supreme Sleep designs. The company has set up a bedding production line in High Point, N.C., at the former Supreme Sleep Products manufacturing facility. Irish specialty sleep bedding producer Kaymed has taken a significant step to expand its presence in the United States. The Aireloom and Kluft brands will remain independent of Comfort Solutions, but Kluft said that could change in the future. Roberts said that the Kluft deal will give Comfort Solutions a stronger presence in the western United States, providing more focus and stronger service, particularly in California. “Their insight on product design and skill in the marketing of mattresses provides us with opportunities to offer better and more unique programs to our retail dealers.” “Having a company of this caliber join our organization is a tremendous asset,” said Dave Roberts, president and CEO of Comfort Solutions, which has headquarters in Hinsdale, Ill.
